Tuition & Cost Per Student: Please see the attached letter included in email.
Report cards are coming home today with each student.
March Break is this coming week. We pray everyone enjoys a safe and fun week off with family and friends.
Skate-a-thon 2025 is scheduled for March 19, 2025, at the NorWest Arena. Each student will be coming home with a pledge sheet in with their report cards. There are more in the office if you did not get one, or if you need extra lines for all the pledges! Feel free to take one for a relative or friend that would like to participate as well. If everyone does their part, we can reach this year's budgeted goal of $25,000.00. All money raised goes directly to the school. Go T.B.C.S. students!
The Booster Club is still looking for people to help in the kitchen for the Skate-a-thon for the following shift times: 2-3:30pm, 3:30-5pm, and 5pm - clean-up/close.
The first shift would be setting up and heating the food (2-3:30pm)
Second shift is serving (3:30-5pm)
Last shift is mostly cleanup and a bit of serving (5pm- close, around 6:30pm)
If interested in helping out, please contact Veronika Krpan at 807-620-4950 or Emily Bakker at 807-633-0847.
Bussing For March 17th-21st. Bram Kamerman will be driving the Panda bus (John Meijaard’s run) for the week of March 17th-21st. Please contact Bram @ 807-629-8927 for any updates/changes during this week.
SSSAA Hockey: On March 5th, TBCS was proud to have 2 teams represent our school in the annual Lakehead School Board hockey tournament. The first team consisted of mostly grade 8/9 students with a few Grade 7 students. This team was captained and guided by Nolan Jaspers and had great goaltending by Kaleb Mol, helping to clinch us to our gold medal chance. All team members did really well going into the gold medal game; unfortunately the game was cut short. Due to an unfortunate circumstance, there was an injury on the other team, ending the game. We have reached out for an update and the injured player is doing okay. Our second team was captained by Levi Breukelman and goal tended by Braiden Mol. This team was a lot younger than most of their competition but played some great hockey and kept games very close! We, as coaches, were very impressed by the students’ behaviour, respect, and hard work ethic throughout the day, both on and off the ice. Thank you to all that participated and helped to make this possible.
Coaches: Nick, Dave, Ryan, Shawn, Aaron and Ian.
From Student Council:
Spirit Week is Back! March 24th to 28th everyone is welcome to participate in our school spirit week. Each day has a different theme for dressing up or a chance to get creative!?
Monday: Wear your favourite colour day!
Tuesday: Dress up like a teacher day!
Wednesday: Anything but a backpack day!
Thursday: 90's day!
Friday: Crazy hair day!
We can't wait to see everyone get creative and show their school spirit!

Sports Thanks to Mrs. Awosika & parent coach Mr. Zachary for all your hard work coaching the basketball teams these past weeks!
We had our Grade 7/8 Girls and Boys Intermediate Basketball tournament with Lakehead Public Schools on Thursday, February 20th at Lakehead University. Our students tried their best and had good attitudes on the court, reflecting the love of God to their competitors. The boys team ended up in 4th place and the girls team finished in 3rd. Thank you to our volunteer coaches and family members who came to cheer us on! It was a really fun day.
If anyone is interested in developing their basketball skills further, here is the link for the upcoming Spring League at LU: thunderwolves.ca/kidsprograms/sports-camps/
Next up is a hockey tournament Mar. 5 at Fort William First Nations rink. We had those interested sign up and have made 2 teams, watch for practice updates.
Lost & Found TBCS Families, please watch for a separate e-mail with pictures of lost and found items. If it has not been claimed by February 21st, items will be donated to Twice as Nice.
If you would like to e-mail the office with which items are yours we will gladly send them home with your children!
On behalf of our Trenton Christian School Community, I am reaching out to your community. We understand that Al Bron was a Principal at Thunder Bay Christian School and we would like to add some thoughts or wishes or even send a greeting to Al!
This coming June, we will be gathering together with former colleagues, family and our community to celebrate his retirement from Christian Education. God has blessed many different places and schools with the Kingdom work that Al has done!
Also, if you happen to have any pictures of him at your school, please email them to me (Stacey) if possible. We hope to put together a photo book.
The celebration will take place Friday, June 13th at Trenton Christian School.

Sports: Volleyball Practices will start up again next week! Basketball for grades 5-8 is starting up as well. Please watch for our e-mail with dates and times of practices.
Cold Weather: Just a reminder that the office checks the internet weather forecast before each break. A temperature of -20 to -27 Celsius with the wind chill is considered a penguin recess (children can go outside and come back inside if they are cold). Below -28 Celsius with the windchill is an indoor recess. Children are required to be outside for Recess, 20 minutes in the morning and 35 minutes in the afternoon with the exception of extreme cold weather as above. Parents, please send your children with weather appropriate clothing – snowsuit/jacket and snowpants, hat, mitts, and winter boots.
Recess Rink: As a reminder, kids using the rink are required to have a helmet and skates to be on the ice!
