School Announcements

The Membership Meeting has been postponed until Monday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m. Please make a point of attending as this is an important meeting with next year’s budget to be discussed and voted upon. Membership packages are being emailed out today. Paper copies are available from the office.

Skate-a-Thon Update: 7 families’ sponsor sheets are left to be completed. Emails were sent home listing outstanding sponsors. Our amazing total now stands a $36,109! Let’s get these last sponsors in and wrap up this fundraiser by month’s end. Thank you.

Meat & Cheese Fundraiser: Stock up on delicious meats for the upcoming BBQ season and tasty cheese and curds for those long summer evenings. Forms available from any Grade 8 student or the office. Deadline is Wednesday, May 8. Delivery is scheduled for Friday, May 24.

Dress Code: With the warmer weather upon us please be mindful of our school’s dress code.

Shirts and tops:

must be long enough to be tucked in (no midriffs showing)
muscle shirts and spaghetti straps (Gr. 4 & up) are not permitted.
must have a modest neckline.
clothing must be free of inappropriate slogans although a brand name is acceptable.

Shorts and Skirts:

must be an appropriate length (mid-thigh)
spandex shorts are not appropriate (Gr. 4 & up)

Students’ Council: Stay tuned for more details, on exciting recess activities planned for the month of May.

Grandparents’ & Special Friends’ Tea will be held Friday, May 10, at 1:45 p.m. in the TBCS gym. Grandparents and/or special family friends have been invited by the students, and this yearly event includes coffee, tea & treats, followed by a performance by the students. An opportunity will be given to visit the students in their classrooms after the program.

Water Bottles: Please ensure that your child/ren are coming to school with a water bottle each day. Thank you.

Lost & Found: When at the school, please check for any of your children’s missing items. They will all be displayed at the Membership Meeting as well. Any unclaimed items will be given to Twice as Nice at the end of the school year.
