In 1997, Twice as Nice thrift store was opened with the goal of helping offset the cost of tuition at Thunder Bay Christian School. In the first 20 years of operation, Twice as Nice has transferred over $1.5 million dollars towards reducing the cost of education for families. Currently, each family saves an estimated $2,500.00 in tuition costs because of the money raised.

Over 250 volunteer hours are required each week to keep Twice as Nice open and running smoothly as the store continues to grow. These volunteer hours come from both within the school membership as well as from many willing servants from the supporting community.
