Grade 1/2 Class Learns about Butterflies

The grade 1/2 class had an exciting time watching caterpillars change into butterflies.

Over the course of two weeks, they had a chance to watch the Painted Lady caterpillars eat and grow, and the students cleaned up after them, watched them form a chrysalis, and they even saw three emerge from a chrysalis during class! At the end of their unit they had a butterfly release party with parents and also invited the JK class.
